Thanks to everyone who made it to Neckarau parkrun this weekend, on a beautiful sunny September morning. Including our visitors from Australia, England and Germany.
A lot going on today. We started with a warm up with Manuel from Sport im Park, a big thank you to those folks for their support. Then 78 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 8 were first timers and 11 recorded new Personal Bests. All the while people were ‘plogging’ around us, I’m glad to say we found much less litter this time that earlier in the year.
We had two Milestones today. Thomas Jasiulek hit 50 events while Marlene Richter hit 10 and also celebrated her 11th birthday. Marlene is now a senior in parkrun world.
But also some sad news as Carolin Winter will leave us and move to Holland. Carolin was with us for our first event and we wish her everything good in her future.
The event was made possible by 9 wonderful volunteers: We say it every week but it’s the volunteers who make it possible for all of us to have fun. A little bit late starting but everything went perfectly after that thanks to a great team.
